1981 United States Grand Prix West

The United States Grand Prix West 1981 was the 1st round of the 1981 F1 season, and took place at the Long Beach in California, USA, on March 15th.

Alan Jones won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Carlos Reutemann, and Nelson Piquet completing the podium.

Riccardo Patrese started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a fuel system failure, and had to retire on lap 33rd.
