The United States Grand Prix 2004 was the 9th round of the 2004 F1 season, and took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, USA, on June 20th.
Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Rubens Barrichello, who originally had the pole position, and Takuma Sato completing the podium.

Qualifying
During the 2024 season the qualifying format was held entirely on Saturday, and was structured as follows:
- Drivers would compelte a single flying lap, in the order the clasified in the previous race.
- Following the order from that attempt, drivers would complete another single flying lap to decide the final grid order.
This time around, Rubens Barrichello managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:10.223 seconds, with his teammate Michael Schumacher rigth behind him at 0.177 seconds, helping Ferrari score a one-two and monopolize the first line of the grid.
