1978 Swedish Grand Prix

The Swedish Grand Prix 1978 was the 8th round of the 1978 F1 season, and took place at the Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp, Sweden, on June 17th.

Niki Lauda won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Riccardo Patrese, and Ronnie Peterson completing the podium.

Mario Andretti started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 46th.
