1991 Spanish Grand Prix

The Spanish Grand Prix 1991 was the 14th round of the 1991 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló, Spain, on September 29th.

Nigel Mansell won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Alain Prost, and Riccardo Patrese completing the podium.

Gerhard Berger started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered from electrical problems, and had to retire on lap 33rd.

These included, Gianni Morbidelli, Ivan Capelli, Éric Bernard, and Thierry Boutsen, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Mark Blundell, and Michele Alboreto, both suffered an engine malfunction, Érik Comas, Gerhard Berger, and Andrea de Cesaris, all of whom suffered from electrical problems, Mika Häkkinen, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 5, and Alex Caffi, Fabrizio Barbazza, and Olivier Grouillard, all of whom did not prequalify.

Qualifying
