The Spanish Grand Prix 1977 was the 5th round of the 1977 F1 season, and took place at the Jarama in Madrid, Spain, on May 8th.

Mario Andretti won the race from the pole, followed by Carlos Reutemann, and Jody Scheckter completing the podium.

These included, John Watson, who had a fuel system failure on lap 64, Alan Jones, Rupert Keegan, Clay Regazzoni, and Vittorio Brambilla, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Harald Ertl, who had a problem with the radiator of the car on lap 29, Renzo Zorzi, Patrick Depailler, and James Hunt, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Arturo Merzario, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 16, and Niki Lauda, who was injured on lap 0.
