The Spanish Grand Prix 1976 was the 4th round of the 1976 F1 season, and took place at the Jarama in Madrid, Spain, on May 2nd.

James Hunt won the race from the pole, followed by Niki Lauda, and Gunnar Nilsson completing the podium.

These included, Jochen Mass, Jody Scheckter, and John Watson, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jean-Pierre Jarier, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 61, Arturo Merzario, Mario Andretti, and Hans-Joachim Stuck, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Patrick Depailler, who had to retire due to an accident on lap 25, Vittorio Brambilla, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 21, and Ronnie Peterson, and Emerson Fittipaldi, both had a transmission problem.
