The Spanish Grand Prix 1974 was the 4th round of the 1974 F1 season, and took place at the Jarama in Madrid, Spain, on April 28th.

Niki Lauda won the race from the pole, followed by Clay Regazzoni, and Emerson Fittipaldi completing the podium.

The reace did not end without incidents... 15 drivers out of the original 27 who started did not managed to cross the finish line.

These included, Tim Schenken, and Carlos Reutemann, both lost control and spun off the track, Jean-Pierre Jarier, who did not classify on lap 73, Graham Hill, François Migault, Ronnie Peterson, and Jean-Pierre Beltoise, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Arturo Merzario, who had to retire due to an accident on lap 37, Jochen Mass, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 35, Jacky Ickx, and Chris Amon, both saw the breaks of the car give up, and Rikky von Opel, who had an oil leak on lap 14.
