1973 Spanish Grand Prix

The Spanish Grand Prix 1973 was the 4th round of the 1973 F1 season, and took place at the Montjuïc in Barcelona, Spain, on April 29th.

Emerson Fittipaldi won the race after starting in the 7th position, followed by François Cevert, and George Follmer completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 14th position of the grid.

Ronnie Peterson started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he experienced issues with the gearbox, and had to retire on lap 56th.

These included, Carlos Reutemann, and Carlos Pace, both had problems with the halfshaft, Howden Ganley, who run out of fuel on lap 63, Ronnie Peterson, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 56, Jackie Stewart, and Graham Hill, both saw the breaks of the car give up, Niki Lauda, who experienced issues with a tyre on lap 28, Mike Hailwood, who had an oil leak on lap 25, Jackie Oliver, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 23, and Andrea de Adamich, who had a wheel problem on lap 17.
