The South African Grand Prix 1982 was the 1st round of the 1982 F1 season, and took place at the Kyalami in Midrand, South Africa, on January 23rd.

Alain Prost won the race after starting in the 5th position, followed by Carlos Reutemann, and René Arnoux, who originally had the pole position, completing the podium.
