1974 South African Grand Prix

The South African Grand Prix 1974 was the 3rd round of the 1974 F1 season, and took place at the Kyalami in Midrand, South Africa, on March 30th.

Carlos Reutemann won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Jean-Pierre Beltoise, and Mike Hailwood completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 12th position of the grid.

Niki Lauda started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 16th.
