The South African Grand Prix 1962 was the 9th round of the 1962 F1 season, and took place at the Prince George Circuit in Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, on December 29th.

Graham Hill won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Bruce McLaren, and Tony Maggs completing the podium.

Jim Clark started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had an oil leak, and had to retire on lap 62nd.
