The San Marino Grand Prix 2004 was the 4th round of the 2004 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy, on April 25th.
Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Jenson Button, who originally had the pole position, and Juan Pablo Montoya completing the podium.

Qualifying
During the 2024 season the qualifying format was held entirely on Saturday, and was structured as follows:
- Drivers would compelte a single flying lap, in the order the clasified in the previous race.
- Following the order from that attempt, drivers would complete another single flying lap to decide the final grid order.
This time around, Jenson Button managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:19.753 seconds, 0.258 seconds faster than Michael Schumacher, who completed the first line of the grid.
