The San Marino Grand Prix 1992 was the 5th round of the 1992 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy, on May 17th.

Nigel Mansell won the race from the pole, followed by Riccardo Patrese, and Ayrton Senna completing the podium.

These included, Jyrki Järvilehto, Thierry Boutsen, Gianni Morbidelli, and Gabriele Tarquini, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Andrea de Cesaris, who had a fuel system failure on lap 55, Ukyo Katayama, Bertrand Gachot, Michael Schumacher, and Ivan Capelli, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Jean Alesi, and Gerhard Berger, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Stefano Modena, Christian Fittipaldi, and Johnny Herbert, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, and Roberto Moreno, and Perry McCarthy, both did not prequalify.
