1987 Portuguese Grand Prix

The Portuguese Grand Prix 1987 was the 12th round of the 1987 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo do Estoril in Estoril, Portugal, on September 20th.

Alain Prost won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Gerhard Berger, who originally had the pole position, and Nelson Piquet completing the podium.

These included, Teo Fabi, and Alessandro Nannini, both run out of fuel, Andrea de Cesaris, who had an problem with the injection on lap 54, Michele Alboreto, and Martin Brundle, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Franco Forini, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 32, Philippe Alliot, and Riccardo Patrese, both suffered an engine malfunction, René Arnoux, who had a problem with the radiator of the car on lap 29, Alex Caffi, who had a turbo failure on lap 27, Piercarlo Ghinzani, who had issues with the ignition on lap 24, Adrián Campos, and Christian Danner, both had to retire due to an accident, and Nigel Mansell, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 13.
