2002 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 2002 was the 7th round of the 2002 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 26th.

David Coulthard won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Michael Schumacher, and Ralf Schumacher completing the podium.

Juan Pablo Montoya started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 46th.

These included, Mika Salo, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 69, Felipe Massa, Alex Yoong, and Allan McNish, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Olivier Panis, Jenson Button, and Kimi Räikkönen, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Juan Pablo Montoya, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 46, Jacques Villeneuve, who suffered from an unidentified mechanical problem on lap 44, and Takuma Sato, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 22.
