The Monaco Grand Prix 1998 was the 6th round of the 1998 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 24th.

Mika Häkkinen won the race from the pole, followed by Giancarlo Fisichella, and Eddie Irvine completing the podium.

The reace did not end without incidents... 10 drivers out of the original 22 who started did not managed to cross the finish line.

These included, Jean Alesi, and Jarno Trulli, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Olivier Panis, who had a wheel problem on lap 49, Ralf Schumacher, Jan Magnussen, and Rubens Barrichello, all of whom suffered a suspension problem, Alexander Wurz, and Esteban Tuero, both lost control and spun off the track, David Coulthard, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 17, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 5.
