1985 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 1985 was the 4th round of the 1985 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 19th.

Alain Prost won the race after starting in the 5th position, followed by Michele Alboreto, and Elio de Angelis completing the podium.

Ayrton Senna started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 13th.

These included, Niki Lauda, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 17, Riccardo Patrese, Nelson Piquet, Stefan Johansson, Gerhard Berger, and Patrick Tambay, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Teo Fabi, who had a turbo failure on lap 16, Ayrton Senna, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 13, and Eddie Cheever, who had a problem with the alternator on lap 10.
