1974 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 1974 was the 6th round of the 1974 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 26th.

Ronnie Peterson won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Jody Scheckter, and Jean-Pierre Jarier completing the podium.

Niki Lauda started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had issues with the ignition, and had to retire on lap 32nd.

These included, Henri Pescarolo, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 62, Jacky Ickx, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 34, Niki Lauda, who had issues with the ignition on lap 32, James Hunt, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 27, Mike Hailwood, François Migault, and Vern Schuppan, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Carlos Reutemann, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 5, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Denny Hulme, Arturo Merzario, Vittorio Brambilla, Brian Redman, Carlos Pace, and Tim Schenken, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and Jochen Mass, and Chris Amon, both withdrew.
