1968 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 1968 was the 3rd round of the 1968 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 26th.

Graham Hill won the race from the pole, followed by Richard Attwood, and Lucien Bianchi completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 14th position of the grid.

The reace did not end without incidents... 14 drivers out of the original 18 who started did not managed to cross the finish line.

These included, John Surtees, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 16, Pedro Rodríguez, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Jochen Rindt, Bruce McLaren, and Jackie Oliver, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Jo Siffert, who had a problem with the differential on lap 17, Piers Courage, who experienced problems with the chassis of the car on lap 11, Dan Gurney, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 9, Jack Brabham, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 7, and Johnny Servoz-Gavin, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 3.
