1964 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 1964 was the 1st round of the 1964 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 10th.

Graham Hill won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Richie Ginther, and Peter Arundell completing the podium.

Jim Clark started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 4th.

These included, Jim Clark, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 96, Bob Anderson, Lorenzo Bandini, Dan Gurney, and John Surtees, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Phil Hill, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 70, Maurice Trintignant, who suffered from an overall car overhating on lap 53, Jack Brabham, who had an problem with the injection on lap 29, Bruce McLaren, who had a problem witht he wheel bearing on lap 17, Trevor Taylor, who had a fuel leak on lap 8, and Innes Ireland, André Pilette, Giancarlo Baghetti, and Tony Maggs, all of whom withdrew.
