1950 Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix 1950 was the 2nd round of the 1950 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, on May 21st.

Juan Fangio won the race from the pole, followed by Alberto Ascari, and Louis Chiron completing the podium.

These included, Luigi Villoresi, who had problems with an axle on lap 63, Philippe Étancelin, who had an oil leak on lap 38, José Froilán González, Nino Farina, Luigi Fagioli, Louis Rosier, Robert Manzon, Toulo de Graffenried, Maurice Trintignant, Cuth Harrison, Franco Rol, and Alfredo Pián, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Harry Schell, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 0, and Peter Whitehead, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 0.
