The Mexican Grand Prix 1987 was the 14th round of the 1987 F1 season, and took place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico, on October 18th.

Nigel Mansell won the race from the pole, followed by Nelson Piquet, and Riccardo Patrese completing the podium.

These included, Ayrton Senna, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 54, Ivan Capelli, and Piercarlo Ghinzani, both suffered a water leak, Alex Caffi, and Michele Alboreto, both suffered an engine malfunction, Adrián Campos, who had a transmission problem on lap 32, René Arnoux, who suffered from an overall car overhating on lap 29, Derek Warwick, Andrea de Cesaris, Stefan Johansson, Satoru Nakajima, and Christian Danner, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Gerhard Berger, Alessandro Nannini, and Martin Brundle, all of whom had a turbo failure, Thierry Boutsen, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 15, and Alain Prost, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 0.
