1999 Malaysian Grand Prix

The Malaysian Grand Prix 1999 was the 15th round of the 1999 F1 season, and took place at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 17th.

Eddie Irvine won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Michael Schumacher, who originally had the pole position, and Mika Häkkinen completing the podium.

These included, Jacques Villeneuve, who experienced an hydraulic malfunction on lap 48, Pedro Diniz, Luca Badoer, and Ralf Schumacher, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Pedro de la Rosa, Ricardo Zonta, Olivier Panis, and Jarno Trulli, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, David Coulthard, who suffered a fuel pressure loss on lap 14, Toranosuke Takagi, who had a transmission problem on lap 7, and Damon Hill, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 0.
