1990 Japanese Grand Prix

The Japanese Grand Prix 1990 was the 15th round of the 1990 F1 season, and took place at the Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka, Japan, on October 21st.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 6th position, followed by Roberto Moreno, and Aguri Suzuki completing the podium.

Ayrton Senna started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and had to retire on lap 0th.

These included, Derek Warwick, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 38, Johnny Herbert, Michele Alboreto, Éric Bernard, and Maurício Gugelmin, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Nigel Mansell, who had a transmission problem on lap 26, Emanuele Pirro, who had a problem with the alternator on lap 24, Gianni Morbidelli, Andrea de Cesaris, and Gerhard Berger, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Ivan Capelli, who had issues with the ignition on lap 16, David Brabham, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 5, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Stefano Modena, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and Jean Alesi, who withdrew on lap 0.
