Qualifying
During the 2024 season the qualifying format was held entirely on Saturday, and was structured as follows:
- Drivers would compelte a single flying lap, in the order the clasified in the previous race.
- Following the order from that attempt, drivers would complete another single flying lap to decide the final grid order.
This time around, Rubens Barrichello managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:20.089 seconds, 0.531 seconds faster than Juan Pablo Montoya, who completed the first line of the grid.
