The Italian Grand Prix 1994 was the 12th round of the 1994 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza, Italy, on September 11th.
Damon Hill won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Gerhard Berger, and Mika Häkkinen completing the podium.
Jean Alesi started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he experienced issues with the gearbox, and had to retire on lap 14th.

From 1996 to 2002 the grid order was decided in a single qualifying session which would last 1 hour. During this time each driver had a maximun of 12 laps to set their best time.
This time around, Jean Alesi managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:23.844 seconds, with his teammate Gerhard Berger rigth behind him at 0.134 seconds, helping Ferrari score a one-two and monopolize the first line of the grid.
