The Italian Grand Prix 1977 was the 14th round of the 1977 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza, Italy, on September 11th.
Mario Andretti won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Niki Lauda, and Alan Jones completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 16th position of the grid.
James Hunt started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he lost control and spun off the track, and had to retire on lap 26th.
