1972 Italian Grand Prix

The Italian Grand Prix 1972 was the 10th round of the 1972 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza, Italy, on September 10th.

Emerson Fittipaldi won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Mike Hailwood, and Denny Hulme completing the podium.

Jacky Ickx started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered from electrical problems, and had to retire on lap 46th.
