1968 Italian Grand Prix

The Italian Grand Prix 1968 was the 9th round of the 1968 F1 season, and took place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza, Italy, on September 8th.

Denny Hulme won the race after starting in the 7th position, followed by Johnny Servoz-Gavin, and Jacky Ickx completing the podium.

John Surtees started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had to retire due to an accident, and had to retire on lap 8th.

These included, Jo Siffert, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 58, Jack Brabham, who suffered a loss in oil pressure on lap 56, Jackie Stewart, David Hobbs, Jochen Rindt, Pedro Rodríguez, and Dan Gurney, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jackie Oliver, who had a transmission problem on lap 38, Bruce McLaren, who had an oil leak on lap 34, Graham Hill, who had a wheel problem on lap 10, John Surtees, Chris Amon, and Vic Elford, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, and Derek Bell, who had a fuel system failure on lap 4.
