The Indianapolis 500 1960 was the 3rd round of the 1960 F1 season, and took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, USA, on May 30th.

Jim Rathmann won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Rodger Ward, and Paul Goldsmith completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 26th position of the grid.

Eddie Sachs started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 21st.
