The Hungarian Grand Prix 2001 was the 13th round of the 2001 F1 season, and took place at the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary, on August 19th.

Michael Schumacher won the race from the pole, followed by Rubens Barrichello, and David Coulthard completing the podium.

These included, Giancarlo Fisichella, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 67, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Jenson Button, Enrique Bernoldi, Luciano Burti, and Eddie Irvine, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Tarso Marques, who suffered a loss in oil pressure on lap 63, Olivier Panis, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 58, Jarno Trulli, who experienced an hydraulic malfunction on lap 53, and Fernando Alonso, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 37.
