1988 Hungarian Grand Prix

The Hungarian Grand Prix 1988 was the 10th round of the 1988 F1 season, and took place at the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary, on August 7th.

Ayrton Senna won the race from the pole, followed by Alain Prost, and Thierry Boutsen completing the podium.

These included, Derek Warwick, and Eddie Cheever, both saw the breaks of the car give up, Nigel Mansell, who felt unwell and had to retire on lap 60, Michele Alboreto, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 40, René Arnoux, Alex Caffi, Ivan Capelli, and Jonathan Palmer, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Andrea de Cesaris, who had problems with the halfshaft on lap 28, Alessandro Nannini, who suffered from an overall car overhating on lap 24, Stefan Johansson, who had a throttle issue on lap 19, Pierluigi Martini, and Philippe Streiff, both retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, and Nicola Larini, who did not prequalify on lap 0.
