1987 Hungarian Grand Prix

The Hungarian Grand Prix 1987 was the 9th round of the 1987 F1 season, and took place at the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary, on August 9th.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Ayrton Senna, and Alain Prost completing the podium.

Nigel Mansell started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 14th.

These included, Nigel Mansell, who had a wheel problem on lap 70, Alex Caffi, who had a fuel system failure on lap 64, René Arnoux, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 57, Philippe Alliot, who had to retire due to an accident on lap 48, Martin Brundle, who had a turbo failure on lap 45, Michele Alboreto, and Christian Danner, both suffered an engine malfunction, Andrea de Cesaris, Stefan Johansson, and Teo Fabi, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Adrián Campos, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 14, Gerhard Berger, who had a problem with the differential on lap 13, and Satoru Nakajima, who suffered a driveshaft problem on lap 1.
