The German Grand Prix 2000 was the 11th round of the 2000 F1 season, and took place at the Hockenheimring in Hockenheim, Germany, on July 30th.

Rubens Barrichello won the race with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 18th position of the grid, followed by Mika Häkkinen, and David Coulthard, who originally had the pole position, completing the podium.

These included, Nick Heidfeld, who had a problem with the alternator on lap 40, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, and Johnny Herbert, both experienced issues with the gearbox, Jos Verstappen, and Ricardo Zonta, both lost control and spun off the track, Marc Gené, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 33, Alexander Wurz, who suffered from electrical problems on lap 31, and Pedro Diniz, Jean Alesi, Michael Schumacher, and Giancarlo Fisichella, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars.
