The German Grand Prix 1994 was the 9th round of the 1994 F1 season, and took place at the Hockenheimring in Hockenheim, Germany, on July 31st.

Gerhard Berger won the race from the pole, followed by Olivier Panis, and Éric Bernard completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 14th position of the grid.

These included, Jean-Marc Gounon, Michael Schumacher, and Martin Brundle, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, David Brabham, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 37, David Coulthard, and Jean Alesi, both suffered from electrical problems, Jos Verstappen, who saw the heat shield literally lit up in fire on lap 15, Ukyo Katayama, who had a throttle issue on lap 6, and Mark Blundell, Mika Häkkinen, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello, Johnny Herbert, Andrea de Cesaris, Pierluigi Martini, Alessandro Zanardi, and Michele Alboreto, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars.
