The German Grand Prix 1985 was the 9th round of the 1985 F1 season, and took place at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany, on August 4th.

Michele Alboreto won the race after starting in the 8th position, followed by Alain Prost, and Jacques Laffite completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 13th position of the grid.

Teo Fabi started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a problem with the clutch, and had to retire on lap 29th.
