1963 German Grand Prix

The German Grand Prix 1963 was the 6th round of the 1963 F1 season, and took place at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany, on August 4th.

John Surtees won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Jim Clark, who originally had the pole position, and Richie Ginther completing the podium.

These included, Jo Siffert, who had a problem with the differential on lap 10, Carel Godin de Beaufort, who had a wheel problem on lap 9, Tony Maggs, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 7, Dan Gurney, Mário de Araújo Cabral, and Graham Hill, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Ian Burgess, who had issues with the steering of the car on lap 5, Tony Settember, Bruce McLaren, Chris Amon, Willy Mairesse, Innes Ireland, and Lorenzo Bandini, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, and Phil Hill, Giancarlo Baghetti, and Masten Gregory, all of whom withdrew.
