1958 German Grand Prix

The German Grand Prix 1958 was the 8th round of the 1958 F1 season, and took place at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany, on August 3rd.

Tony Brooks won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Roy Salvadori, and Maurice Trintignant completing the podium.

Mike Hawthorn started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had a problem with the clutch, and had to retire on lap 11th.

These included, Mike Hawthorn, who had a problem with the clutch on lap 11, Peter Collins, and Jo Bonnier, both had to retire due to an accident, Wolfgang Seidel, and Jean Behra, both suffered a suspension problem, Harry Schell, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 9, Christian Goethals, and Brian Naylor, both had a fuel pump failure, Graham Hill, who had problems with the oil pipe on lap 4, Carel Godin de Beaufort, Hans Herrmann, Dick Gibson, and Troy Ruttman, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Stirling Moss, who had an issue with a magneto on lap 3, and Jack Brabham, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 1.
