The German Grand Prix 1953 was the 7th round of the 1953 F1 season, and took place at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany, on August 2nd.

Nino Farina won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Juan Fangio, and Mike Hawthorn completing the podium.

Alberto Ascari started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 8th.
