1996 French Grand Prix

The French Grand Prix 1996 was the 9th round of the 1996 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in Magny Cours, France, on June 30th.

Damon Hill won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Jacques Villeneuve, and Jean Alesi completing the podium.

Michael Schumacher started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 0th.
