The French Grand Prix 1994 was the 7th round of the 1994 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in Magny Cours, France, on July 3rd.
Michael Schumacher won the race after starting in the 3rd position, followed by Damon Hill, who originally had the pole position, and Gerhard Berger completing the podium.

From 1996 to 2002 the grid order was decided in a single qualifying session which would last 1 hour. During this time each driver had a maximun of 12 laps to set their best time.
This time around, Damon Hill managed to secure the pole position with a time of 1:16.282 seconds, with his teammate Nigel Mansell rigth behind him at 0.077 seconds, helping Williams score a one-two and monopolize the first line of the grid.
