1991 French Grand Prix

The French Grand Prix 1991 was the 7th round of the 1991 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in Magny Cours, France, on July 7th.

Nigel Mansell won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Alain Prost, and Ayrton Senna completing the podium.

Riccardo Patrese started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 5th.

These included, Roberto Moreno, who had physical problems on lap 63, Stefano Modena, Michele Alboreto, and Martin Brundle, all of whom experienced issues with the gearbox, Olivier Grouillard, who had an oil leak on lap 47, Éric Bernard, and Aguri Suzuki, both had a transmission problem, Jyrki Järvilehto, who experienced issues with a tyre on lap 39, Mark Blundell, Satoru Nakajima, Ivan Capelli, and Bertrand Gachot, all of whom lost control and spun off the track, Gianni Morbidelli, who retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars on lap 8, Gerhard Berger, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 6, and Emanuele Pirro, Nicola Larini, Eric van de Poele, and Pedro Chaves, all of whom did not prequalify.
