The French Grand Prix 1970 was the 6th round of the 1970 F1 season, and took place at the Charade Circuit in Clermont-Ferrand, France, on July 5th.

Jochen Rindt won the race after starting in the 6th position, followed by Chris Amon, and Jack Brabham completing the podium.

Jacky Ickx started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 16th.
