The French Grand Prix 1961 was the 4th round of the 1961 F1 season, and took place at the Reims-Gueux in Reims, France, on July 2nd.

Giancarlo Baghetti won the race with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 12th position of the grid, followed by Dan Gurney, and Jim Clark completing the podium.

Phil Hill started from the pole position, but only managed to finish 9th.
