The European Grand Prix 1983 was the 14th round of the 1983 F1 season, and took place at the Brands Hatch in Kent, UK, on September 25th.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Alain Prost, and Nigel Mansell completing the podium.

Elio de Angelis started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he had an oil pump failure, and had to retire on lap 12th.
