1980 Dutch Grand Prix

The Dutch Grand Prix 1980 was the 11th round of the 1980 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Park Zandvoort in Zandvoort, Netherlands, on August 31st.

Nelson Piquet won the race after starting in the 5th position, followed by René Arnoux, who originally had the pole position, and Jacques Laffite completing the podium.

These included, Mario Andretti, who run out of fuel on lap 70, Derek Daly, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Nigel Mansell, all of whom saw the breaks of the car give up, Bruno Giacomelli, Vittorio Brambilla, Geoff Lees, Elio de Angelis, and Didier Pironi, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Eddie Cheever, Riccardo Patrese, and John Watson, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jean-Pierre Jabouille, who on lap 23, Hector Rebaque, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 1, and Jochen Mass, who withdrew on lap 0.
