The Dutch Grand Prix 1979 was the 12th round of the 1979 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Park Zandvoort in Zandvoort, Netherlands, on August 26th.

Alan Jones won the race after starting in the 2nd position, followed by Jody Scheckter, and Jacques Laffite completing the podium.

René Arnoux started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered a suspension problem, and had to retire on lap 1st.
