The Dutch Grand Prix 1977 was the 13th round of the 1977 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Park Zandvoort in Zandvoort, Netherlands, on August 28th.

Niki Lauda won the race after starting in the 4th position, followed by Jacques Laffite, and Jody Scheckter completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 15th position of the grid.

Mario Andretti started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered an engine malfunction, and had to retire on lap 14th.

These included, Patrick Tambay, who run out of fuel on lap 73, Vittorio Brambilla, Gunnar Nilsson, Rupert Keegan, James Hunt, and Jochen Mass, all of whom had to retire due to an accident, Riccardo Patrese, Alan Jones, Patrick Depailler, and Mario Andretti, all of whom suffered an engine malfunction, Jean-Pierre Jabouille, who suffered a suspension problem on lap 39, Ronnie Peterson, and Jean-Pierre Jarier, both had issues with the ignition, Clay Regazzoni, who had a throttle issue on lap 17, and John Watson, who had an oil leak on lap 2.
