The Detroit Grand Prix 1983 was the 7th round of the 1983 F1 season, and took place at the Detroit Street Circuit in Detroit, USA, on June 5th.

Michele Alboreto won the race after starting in the 6th position, followed by Keke Rosberg, and John Watson completing the podium with an expectacular comeback, all the way from the 21st position of the grid.

René Arnoux started from the pole position, but didn't manage to cross the finish line, as he suffered from electrical problems, and had to retire on lap 31st.
