The Canadian Grand Prix 2000 was the 8th round of the 2000 F1 season, and took place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada, on June 18th.

Michael Schumacher won the race from the pole, followed by Rubens Barrichello, and Giancarlo Fisichella completing the podium.

These included, Ralf Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve, and Pedro de la Rosa, all of whom retired dure to damage caused by a collision with other cars, Marc Gené, who lost control and spun off the track on lap 64, Mika Salo, and Jean Alesi, both suffered from electrical problems, Nick Heidfeld, who suffered an engine malfunction on lap 34, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who saw the breaks of the car give up on lap 32, and Johnny Herbert, who experienced issues with the gearbox on lap 14.
